Nokia’s big comeback device has been leaking all over the internet of late. We had reported about the hardware specs of the giant Nokia Android device month. Now the fascia of the phone has been spotted. Leaked rendered images of the phone has confirmed that Nokia is, in fact, coming out of hibernation. But not with a 13-inch tablet as previously reported. It will instead be either a 5-inch or a 5.5-inch phone.

We have also independently confirmed that Nokia is indeed planning to launch new Android phones in India as it is working with various agencies in India for a marketing campaign to launch the new products around about March and April in India.

Leaked renders on Chinese social networking site Weibo show the tablet is going to come in three color variants: Gold, White and Black. The Gold variant will have an additional fingerprint sensor integrated in the Home Button. Other variants have capacitive navigation keys no physical Home Button. The Power and Volume keys are placed on the right.

It is also rumored to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

We reported earlier that the Nokia D1C will be sporting a 2K display in a IP68 water and dust resistant casing. Inside, it will sport an octa-core processor making it highly likely the Snapdragon 430 will make an appearance, clocked at 1.4Ghz and coupled with Adreno 505 graphics and 3GB of RAM, with 32GB of onboard storage.

There will also be a 16-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and flash and an 8-megapixel imaging unit on the front. Both cameras will record in full HD resolution. We can expect some of the older magic Nokia pulled off with its Lumia phones.

It has been two years since Nokia las came out with an Android device. Nokia’s Rajeev Suri will take the stage at Mobile World Congress in late February and the D1C is tipped to be launched then.
