Last night, on expected lines Apple sent out invites for a press event in San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, where it is widely expected to launch the iPhone 7. However, apart from the iPhone 7, the company is widely expected to unveil a new Apple Watch and also new MacBook Pro laptops.

A new report by Bloomberg claims that this event will focus only on the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and the Apple Watch 2. Unlike previous reports, this event will not be the showcase for the new MacBook Pro notebooks, however, Apple is indeed working on the new Macbook Air and MacBook Pro models.

In addition to this, the company is collaborating with LG for a standalone 5K monitor and is also working on introducing a major software iOS update for the iPad Pro adding more pro functionality to the tablet.

On September 7, however, the new iPhone 7 will be the centrepiece supplemented with the Apple Watch 2 that will come with GPS and a ton of new Health functionality.

The iPhone 7 is said to have a refined design from that of the iPhone 6S. It is also said to have massively improved cameras on the back, capacitive home-button which uses technology similar to the 3D touch screen and also a larger battery. These phones will also include iterative updates to processors, RAM and core memory which will make them faster than previous models and also ensure they have more base storage.

The Apple Watch 2 will also have a design similar to the one on the current model. At least, that’s what reports are claiming in the press. However, Apple has added a GPS, and integrated a larger battery while maintaining a similar design. Cellular connectivity, however, is expected to remain absent.
