Just how good is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 you ask? I’ll let the numbers speak. From April to June 2016, 88,00,000 units of the Redmi Note 3 has been bought online in India, the highest ever for any smartphone in the online market in India in any quarter.

To put it under comparison, that is almost twice the volume of the second-highest shipped smartphone online in India.

Looking at the numbers, it can be said that 1 out of every 9 smartphones shipped online is a Redmi Note 3. That should speak for just how popular the phone is. At that’s the type of statistic Xiaomi is sharing in an infographic.

The Redmi Note 3 has been in the market for over five months now, and by the second quarter Xiaomi reported it has already sold 1.75 million units of the smartphone.

The Redmi Note 3 comes in an all-metal body powered by a six-core Snapdragon 650 processor with the option of having either 2GB or 3GB of RAM coupled with either 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage.

It comes with a 5.5-inch display with a 16-megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front snapper.

The device has 4G capabilities and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with a gigantic 4,050mAh battery powering it.

Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 3 in three color variants- gold, silver and dark grey.

The 16GB storage-2GB RAM variant costs Rs 9,999 while the 32GB-3GB RAM variant costs 11,999.

While this is happening, the Redmi Note 3 is also in for a big update as on Tuesday users will also be able to download the Mi UI 8 update for the phone which will bring a host of new features.

Always packed with the best of hardware specs, Xiaomi’s devices are no stranger to fan-fueled frenzy, especially in India. The record-breaking sales of the Redmi Note 3 only goes on to seal that point. Keep ’em coming Xiaomi!
